Advancing evidence to drive digital inclusivity and impact.
Advancing evidence to drive digital inclusivity and impact.
EDiT – Evidence for Digital Transformation is a global initiative dedicated to improving how digital access, use, and impact are measured in mobile-first low- and middle-income countries. With nearly three decades of experience evaluating large-scale digital innovations across health and development, our team brings deep expertise in designing rigorous, context-sensitive measurement frameworks that inform policy, investment, and research.
Our work focuses on developing and promoting standards for measuring key dimensions of digital inclusion—including physical access, connectivity, affordability, digital competency, agency, attitudes, social and gender norms, and safety and security. We also assess phone use across high-impact sectors such as health, agriculture, education, and income generation.
EDiT’s standards provide comprehensive guidance on survey design, sampling strategies, implementation support, and analytical approaches. By generating high-quality, actionable evidence, we empower governments, donors, and researchers to design and evaluate digital transformation efforts that are inclusive, equitable, and responsive to the lived realities of people in low-resource settings.
Together, we are setting standards, generating evidence, and powering equitable digital transformation.
